Senior Mechanical Engineer - Power Electronics

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer - Power Electronics to work on new power electronics product development. You will work on developing new products firmware and software from architecture to implementing and testing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Mechanical design of power conversion module
Design of power distribution bus bars, conductors, insulators, harnesses
Various thermal analysis design tasks including cooling of power semiconductors, design of cold plates, heat exchangers
Perform detailed calculations, FEA analysis, develop 3D models and release CAD drawings.
Create test plans, identify root cause of failures, implement fixes
Work on design and analysis of mechanical aspects of high power electronic sources. This includes:
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
Knowledge of sheet metal, welding, cast metals, plastics and other common material fabrication methods
Proficient in 3D modeling and CAD drawings
Experience with thermal management and fluid dynamics
Proficient in mechanical design tasks including:
Mechanical design: structures, cabling, connectors
Thermal design: conduction, natural/forced convection
Tolerance analysis
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATION
Experienced in product design from concept to production
Familiar with FEA software to solve for thermal, stress and fluid dynamics
Experienced in high voltage, high current electronics packaging and cooling, plumbing
Working knowledge of scripting (MATLAB, Python) or any other data analysis tools
Basic knowledge of electric fundamentals
Startup experience preferred.
